Recruitment and Selection could be considered as one of the most pivotal and crucial HR related functions in any organization. This HR function would basically be consisting of the attracting, evaluating, and selecting the best suited applicant from a pool of qualified applicants, for a certain job within an organization (Empxtrack, 2019). This function consists of activities such as sourcing, attracting the suitable candidates and also identifying the best candidate for the open job position. By attracting and selecting the best candidate, recruitment and selection helps an organisation to minimize potential attrition while increasing the productivity and profitability  (Personio, 2023). The ultimate objective of recruitment and selection is to select and hire the most suitable person for the job and also to contribute to overall organisational success and achievement of goals (hirequotient.com, n.d.).
